1. Why this page exists
IgnitingStocks.com aggregates market data from multiple providers. Different feeds have different licensing, freshness, and accuracy characteristics. This page summarizes them so you can make informed use of what you see. If a number on an IgnitingStocks screen or alert contradicts this page, the source feed is the source of truth, not our description. This page forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer.
2. Momentum scans, alerts and signals
Source: IgnitingStocks proprietary algorithms applied to the data feeds above. Refresh: continuous during covered sessions. Limits. Alerts are automated, opinion-based and probabilistic. They depend entirely on the quality, timeliness and completeness of the underlying data — if a feed is delayed, wrong, or missing a ticker, the scan and any resulting alert will be too. Alerts are not advice or recommendations (see our Disclaimer).
3. News
Headlines are aggregated from public RSS feeds and licensed APIs. Linked article text and rights belong to the respective publishers. Limits. Headline and publication times are publisher-stamped and can lag the actual market-moving event. We are not a primary news wire.
4. US equity quotes and trades
Source: Twelve Data, on a commercial market-data licence, used as our primary feed. Refresh: real-time during US regular hours (09:30–16:00 ET) for tickers in coverage. Coverage: US-listed equities (NYSE, NASDAQ, NYSE American, and OTC where carried). Latency: typically sub-second to a few seconds under normal conditions; the IgnitingStocks pipeline and your network/device add further latency before an alert reaches you.
Limits. Coverage and field availability depend on the licence tier. Some venues, thinly traded names and OTC symbols may have partial or delayed data. Halts and limit-up/limit-down (LULD) pauses can take time to reflect. Where the primary feed is unavailable or does not return a value, a fallback equity-quote feed may be used and may be delayed.
5. Extended hours (pre-market and post-market)
Refresh: near-real-time during US pre-market and post-market sessions for tickers in coverage. Limits. Extended-hours volume is thin, and prices are subject to broader bid-ask spreads and higher volatility; not all listed equities trade in these sessions.
6. “Real-time”: what we mean
When IgnitingStocks says real-time, we mean live data from our primary feed during the relevant US session, before pipeline, network and device latency. For fallback quotes, news and reference data, “real-time” does not apply — that data is delayed and is treated accordingly. We do not describe delayed data as real-time.
7. Known Delays / Limitations
- Economic data: delayed per publisher schedule.
- Fallback equity quotes: may be 15 minutes delayed.
- Streaming bridge downtime: falls back to REST polling; ticks may be missed.
- Pre/post-market quotes: subject to broader bid-ask spreads.
8. Halts, corporate actions and bad ticks
Trading halts, LULD pauses, IPO openings, stock splits, dividends, ticker changes, low liquidity and exchange data errors can produce visibly wrong prices, charts, scanner hits or alerts for anywhere from seconds to hours. We do not currently filter all bad ticks. Verify any unusual print with your broker or a primary source before acting on it.
9. No guarantee
We do not, and cannot, independently verify or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, sequence or continued availability of any data. Feeds may be delayed, interrupted, rate-limited, changed or discontinued by their providers at any time. Your use of the data is at your own risk and subject to the limitation-of-liability terms in our Terms and Conditions.
10. Licensing
You may not redistribute, resell, or mirror data obtained via IgnitingStocks. Use is limited to your personal account.

Market data displayed by IgnitingStocks is sourced from the third-party providers described above; all trademarks belong to their respective owners. IgnitingStocks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these providers.
